You've built a ROBOT DETECTIVE who can investigate crimes! Today you get to test her out... but what was supposed to be a safe, closed trial ends up being a REAL MURDER....!

Knockoff Ace Attorney made in RPGMaker where there's a robot detective. Made for Mystery Game Jam 2024.

Runtime is about 1-1.5 hours. Browser version is fully playable including save+load ability, but downloading is recommended for Windows!

Controls

  • Cancel, Delete Letter (Name Screen), Open Menu* = ESC/X
  • Move Cursor, Navigate Menu = Arrow Keys
  • Select, Investigate Area, Progress Text = Enter/Space
  • Change Active Tool = Q/W | PageUp/PageDown (Windows) | fn+up arrow/fn+down arrow (Mac)

To toggle on markers for objects of interest, move cursor over the "i" icon at the bottom left of the map and select.

To exit an investigation screen, move cursor over the arrow icon at the bottom left of the map and select.

*Note that the menu can only be opened freely during Investigations. During Deduction sequence, you will be given the option to open the menu before key decisions.

During the investigation, it tells us to change the selected item with Pgup/Pgdn (on keyboard). Maybe you should also mention that Q/W work too. They're much more convenient.

OMG, I don't think we had any idea Q/W also work. I don't know if we'll ever update the build [...yknow, game jam game] but this is a great find, thank you for pointing it out! I'll add it to the page description at least.
